Chess on a Tuesday 5

Tuesday starts early in Holthausen: the zentrum plus, a senior centre of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, opens its chess and board-game afternoon from two until half past four, with free admission and game collections on the tables. In the evening the Schachfreunde Gerresheim 86 meet at the senior centre Am Wallgraben from half past seven, and TuS Düsseldorf-Nord holds its weekly meeting in the chess room of its club house in Stockum, where club cup rounds and a rapid tournament for guests filled October 2026.

Outside Düsseldorf, the Krefelder Schachgesellschaft Rochade 1926 plays at its own clubhouse on the Johansenaue from half past seven, and the Velberter Schachgesellschaft 1923 starts its club evening in Tönisheide at seven. Both clubs say that guests are welcome, and both send teams into the leagues of the Lower Rhine federation.
